Sixties Spring – Paule Ka creative director Serge Cajfinger once again looks towards the 1960s for inspiration with the label’s spring 2013 collection which walks the line between Parisian chic and American escapism. Opening with a soft selection of ivory looks evoking the elegant ladies of Palm Beach, lightweight outerwear and lingerie slips set the stage for the new season. Added to the arrangement are graphic prints embroidered with crystals, cloqué organza, ostrich feature and lace-like guipure. Paule Ka also introduces a twist to the classic men’s shirt; appearing as an elongated dress or slip form.
Spring Heroine – Sonia Rykiel creative director April Crichton is inspired by English musician Kate Bush for the label’s spring-summer 2013 collection. Model Danielle Zinaich evokes the individuality and bohemian spirit of Bush in slick images shot by Katja Rahlwes for the new season’s catalogue. Romantic shapes with a Japanese influence come in poetic pastels such as powder pink, baby blue or Cadillac green. The Sonia Rykiel woman also embraces her masculine side with a section of smoking jackets, embroidered ties and cropped pants. Spring introduces two new handbag lines as well, The Grenelle and The Mazarine.
Watercolor Light – Danish designer Anne Sofie Madsen’s eponymous label enlists photographer Jens Langkjaer to shoot the spring 2013 campaign, featuring the Cherrilee Collection. Nadja Bender stars as the face of the brand, wearing Madsen’s intricate detailing and dreamy colors against a backdrop of pastel paint splashes.
A Colorful Season – Canadian designer Mikhael Kale enlists photographer Felix Wong to lens his spring 2013 lookbook starring Emily Fox. The redhead beauty embodies refined elegance in Kale’s psychedelic prints, metallic detailing and delicate ruffles. With a color palette of rich lavender, ivory, inky black and sky blue; the new season embraces menswear inspired tailoring as well as feminine shapes for a contemporary take on ladylike style. / Hair and makeup by Grace Lee

Colorful Decay – Dutch designer Colette Vermeulen offers a collection of vibrant hues matched with deconstructed detailing for her spring 2013 collection. A graduate of the Royal College of Art’s MA Fashion program, Vermeulen enlisted Saty + Pratha to capture modelBrynja Jónbjarnardóttir in her hand-woven floral cotton silks, bespoke jacquards, mohair and raffia for the lookbook.
