Each year at the couture shows of Maison Martin Margiela they put models on the in tight Balaclava masks, to hide their faces from anyone else.

For the couture fall 2012 show the designers at Margiela have decorated the mask with crystals: silver, black, emerald, purple. Then these “jewels” stressed geometry along with a substrate made of black lace.

Last year was the basis for the tissue masks, hand-embroidered with white and gold beads here and there adorned with transparent black ribbons. And this year the team of Maison Martin Margiela turned to the flowers.  Some of them were decorated with three-dimensional flower buds, like the buds of camellias, others – embroidered pattern on an imaginary forest with its utopian emerald green, fern leaves and Firebird fabulous feathers.
