Eyewear designer Anna-Karin Karlsson once tired of city life and moved to live in the romantic wilderness in the north of his native Sweden. There was born a collection of sunglasses with an incredible name Perfecting the Art of Dying Alone («Improving art of death alone”) – the large frame decorated with geometric shapes in the form of three-dimensional patterns of colors and shapes of animals. They combine an artistic expression and eccentricity, melancholy and romanticism.
Each pair in the collection tells a story. “Alice is going to Cannes” takes us into the world of fairy tales. “Mourning for Miss Blow” – dedicated to the fashion legend Isabella Blow, with whom Anna-Karin worked in the beginning of his career. Design patterns of “Black Horse” was inspired by the song «One Trick Pony», which the designer wrote herself – thereby Anna-Karin wants to say that with the necessary degree of persistence and determination, you can achieve amazing results.
