After lunch in Chelsea, NY, designer, former model and stylist L’Wren Scott, and the creative director and vice president of design for Banana Republic, Simon Kneen, had arranged the details of their next collaboration: Modern Collegiate.
“L’Wren really understands what a woman loves and wants to wear,” Kneen said in a statement. “Her knack for bringing imaginative versatility and femininity to classic design is something that immediately brought us together as creatives.”
The proposal presents fifty pieces for the year-end season, including clothing, accessories and home furnishings. Cashmere blankets, fitted jackets, blouses, the unmistakable L jeans from the designer line, crystal-encrusted handbags, berets and tote bag are in the repertoire of the line, which focuses on the interface between high fashion and accessibility.
“We combine the ultra feminine with the ‘wearable’, in order to give our clients a sense of security, a style they want to wear,” said Scott about the project.“A partnership of this scale was a first for me, and I was very excited to find a true partner in Simon,” Scott said . “[This collection] beautifully combines the ultra-feminine with wearable polish and will bring a sexy confidence to our consumers.”
Combining sportswear style Banana Republic, with elegant and sophisticated style of L’Waren Scott designs, this new project, available from December 5, predicts an end of the year , colorful and floral for the coldest days …
