Tom Ford is a designer whose name is so connected with prestige,he afford to ignore any idea of seasonality and to do the fashion that he wants , when he desires so .

Remembering the designer’s collections in the 1990’s, this collection is unlikely to surprise people familiar with his work . Ford’s heroine is full of character , force, energy and sexuality. First part of the collection a “biker – rocker” hit is luxury and chic combination, hardly anyone else besides Ford, could thus “dispose” of this topic.Exclusively technically complex design and finishes, jackets and mini-skirts, tight-fitting mini-dress and futuristic jacket made in the best traditions of classical Parisian couture .

In addition to the desire to go against the stereotypes and present the spring and summer collection , packed with leather and even some furs, immersed in a brown and black tones , this collection has found a clear interest of Tom Ford to experiment with fabrics ,materials and techniques .For example, a suit with a skirt is made from two fabrics imitating alligator skin.

A series of dresses and form-fitting tights, kaleidoscopic embroidery , shiny “particles” of diverse kinds – from the mirror sequins and beads to metallic threads, recalling the spinning mirrored balls.

Such stressed “application”, seemingly not too typical for the designer. What does all this mean? With all of the prestige, reputation, image, dozens of own-brand boutiques and marketing machine behind him, Tom Ford is still able to surprise. And perhaps primarily himself.

Great designs that make me wonder why he needed to exploit fur. Also it looks very sweaty for summer. Fun to look at, but not to wear.
