At the core of it are the Hotel’s inimitable advantages: its strategic central position in the luxury fashion district of Milan. At once classic and contemporary, elegant and dynamic, as a symbol of hospitality for the city, the Hotel is the meeting room of Milan, host to important functions and stunning events. Helmed by head chef Sergio Mei, a pillar of classic Italian cuisine recognized around the world, the Hotel champions an award-winning and exciting culinary culture – from La Veranda’s menu created from the country’s finest produce, to the magical Chocolate Room modeled entirely from chocolate, the epic Chef’s Table, the unforgettable cooking lessons, Sunday brunch and extraordinary dinners organized in collaboration with the best wine labels.

The Spa, designed by Patricia Urquiola, underscores the Hotel’s continued commitment to design and innovation. The modern wellness and beauty space also reveals a 14 metre (46 foot) lap pool — a rare jewel in the city centre.

And to celebrate this fashion week season the hotel reopened their legendary Chocolate Room, which opens every year under a different theme. This year it is dedicated to fashion and it is renamed “Chic”olate Room.

“Fifteen two-metre high panels clad the room’s walls – each carefully decorated and painted with chocolate depicting fashion sketch-style on-trend silhouettes, mixed with fashion prints and camouflage patterns. This next to, plinths stacked with chocolate bags and stilettos, and chocolate busts decorated with elaborate necklaces and hand-painted hats.

Created by Pastry Chef Johannes Walk, he got his inspiration from Milan’s fashion district of picturesque streets fronted with luxury boutiques — a short stroll from the Hotel itself.
Using 120 kilograms of dark, milk and white French chocolate, it took Johannes over 100 hours to create the room. A life-sized chocolate mannequin clad in a dress made of ribbons and discs of white, dark and milk chocolate is the room’s masterpiece.

“When guests walk in here their jaws drop. It is so exciting to watch them react to the room — every one really is like a child in a candy store,” Johannes said.” -luxurylaunches.com
