The oldest Parisian department store Le Bon Marché invited film director Sofia Coppola to work on the design of its windows. It was done in honor of launching an updated model of SC bags especially for the department store – the original version of the bag was created by Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton in 2009.The limited edition of SC bags model will be available in dark cobalt calfskin with fluorescent fuchsia trims applied by hand. It will retail for 2,420 euros, or $3,275, for the small version and 2,820 euros, or $3,800, for the BB size and will be available for sale form 1st of October.
Ten windows of the department store are decorated with neon hearts, deer, giant cherry blossoms and peonies, as well as the logos of Louis Vuitton. In such an environment, a new version of the bag SC, is much smaller than the previous one, will be presented in the windows of Le Bon Marché until October 26.
“I wanted it to be fun and feminine and to think of the bag as a present or a treat that you get yourself,” Coppola said in an interview. “It reminds me of Christmas, seeing the windows, so [I wanted to do] something that kids would enjoy too.”
Sofia Coppola is just endlessly talented, they definitely did well in picking her to design the windows!
such a beautiful display!
