All 60 years of his career Richard Avedon went hand in hand with his beautiful muses . The greatest fashion photographer of America worked Versushka, Ingrid Boulting , Gisele Bundchen , Twiggy and other models of the first magnitude that Avedon shot relentlessly. He worked for the best magazines of his time , Vogue and The New Yorker – among them. 120 black and white photographs of different years have developed in the book “Avedon: Woman”,  published by Rizzoli. On the cover the gorgeous Veruschka , wearing a dress by one of the greatest Amrican designers of that time, Bill Blass.

1 November to 21 December 2013, the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills is hosting the clichés of the photographer for an exhibition around the woman called Avedon : Women . For the occasion , the event is now the subject of a book of the same name. For the exhiition, Larry Gagosian has collected the best pictures by Richard Avedon on the most important models in his life .

The new book offers 120 discover images of women , known or unknown , through the single lens of photographer. What to discover or rediscover the work in black and white by Richard Avedon , in this book prefaced by journalist and former editor of Vogue Paris , Joan Juliet Buck and Professor of Art History at the University of California Abigail Solomon- Godeau .
