Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda spring/summer 2014

Flowers are the stars of Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda spring/summer 2014 collection held in a Milanese penthouse. No more than 150 guests among them fashion editors, stylists and haute couture clients. These dress won’t see the flashes of the cameras on the red carpet because the exigent haute couture customer likes her gown to be unique.

Under a rain of flowers from the salon’s decoration to the head of models, on jewelry and precious fabrics applied next to sparkling stones guest could admire the exquisite dresses that parade in front of them.

Inspiration of the collection was the work of the great painters that have chosen flowers as the subject of their paintings. Sumptuous gowns turned into works of art: hourglass long gowns , minidresses, and princess dresses exhibit among many others remembering of the sunflowers of Van Gogh and Klimt, gladioli Renoir, Manet and the lilac anemones Redon.

A true ode to spring and beauty.
