The historic french department store Galeries Lafayette could celebrate its presence in Milan,Italy in 2017
Galeries Lafayette appear once again intending to expand its business in Italy.
Last October the prestigious French department store had entered into negotiations with the Benetton family’s holding company for the commercial management of the Fondaco dei Tedeschi, historic palazzo in Venice overlooking the Grand Canal that at the end passed into the hands of the luxury giant LVMH.
Canceled the Venetian debut, the department store owned by the Moulin would put on the agenda a opening in Milan.
According to the indiscretion reported by the French newspaper Le Figaro, le Galeries Lafayette should raise a toast to the new opening by 2017.
The French retailer, which this year celebrates 120 years of history, would officially confirm the news in the coming weeks.
The opening in Milan will strengthen the brand’s expansion abroad present at the time in Berlin, Dubai, Casablanca, and since last year in Jakarta and Beijing .
