The new Jimmy Choo Fall 2014 Collection ,presented on February 22 during Milan Fashion Week , took a new direction , under the creative direction of Sandra Choi, being dedicated to today’s women always on the run and leaving behind the glitter of red carpet.
For Fall 2014 the jeweled details and sharp heels of the Jimmy Choo shoes were replaced by triangle block heels, latex flats lined with lace, latex stilettos with oversized black ribbon and rubber soles. More casual styles like the rugged shearling lace-up boots and skater shoes just perfect for a busy woman from day to night.
“I wanted to build on the duality of the Jimmy Choo woman, she is multi-faceted and in today’s world she plays many roles – some call for statement heels, glamour and Red Carpet worthy sandals whilst others call for a quieter approach, shoes that she can run in and keep up with the demands of her busy life whilst having a strong fashion attitude, it is about striking a balance,” Choi told Now Fashion in an interview.
For the bags the collection includes cross body bags and totes, chain linked straps and decorated with fox, rabbit and gazelle fur.
“Across both women’s and men’s I have really paired things back and explored a refined sense of glamour, focusing on shape and form, on quality and innovative use of materials,” Choi said.
