Pronovias, the iconic Spanish bridal brand, celebrated its 50th anniversary with a grandiose fashion show that closed the Barcelona Bridal Week 2015 .
Almost an hour and a half took to the guests at the parade of Pronovias to sit back and witness the longest parade and also the most anticipated of the Barcelona Bridal Week. The 50th birthday of the brand was held late on Friday at the Italian Pavilion of Montjuic, at the foot of the stairway that leads to the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Catalunya:a giant space ship, which hosted a five-meter-wide catwalk, dominated by a reconstruction of the new flagship store in Seville, a historic building dating back to 1912, the work of José Espiau.
‘La Fábrica de los sueños’ (Factory of Dreams) is the name by which the firm founded by Alberto Palatchi has named its 2015 anniversary collection, which condensed a little tour of the main seam lines developed by Pronovias in these five decades. Led by the top Karolina Kurkova,Sigrid Agren, Constance Jablonski, Ymre Stiekema, Diana Moldovan and other models that parade fifty new wedding dresses, one for each year of work of the atelier, perfectly staged according to their materials and patterns.
The use of color was an absolute novelty in the Pronovias’s creations. Pink, peach and beige opened the parade, serving on silver tray which would be one of the big surprises of the night ,the finale with spectacular models in off-white embroidered flowers with rhinestones in green, pink or blue.Another highlight the jewels that embellished the dresses embroidered by hand, the pearls that once again earn prominence, surrounded by feathers and sequins. Precious fabrics: lace and French Chantilly, mikado silk, crepe and brocade, satin as well, which makes it very elegant lingerie dresses that are inspired by the Hollywood glamour of the thirties and forties.
The party was held at the Barcelona Pavilion and hosted more than 2,000 people, including Camila Alves, Bar Refaeli, Lily Costner and many others .
