The Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana will launch its skincare line in July. They worked in the development of the line along with P & G Prestige, which also produce their perfumes and makeup line.

The fashion house claims that people by using the new products will have a healthy appearance, as if they have just returned from a vacation. The collection consists of various creams, serums, eye creams and masks.
“Dolce & Gabbana Skincare is founded in one simple truth: beautiful skin, full of life, has the power to captivate others,” said Domenico Dolce. “True beauty emanates joy – it is natural, radiant and above all, real.”
The base of the product is the so-called Gold Flavo-Silk Tricomplex, a naturally developed complex that makes the skin smoother, fuller and healthier. The products also include Italian olive oil, vitamin B3 and various moisturizing ingredients.
“There’s an elegance to how the products have been formulated – it’s the marriage of the designers’ vision with the scientific know-how of the P&G prestige labs. The line has clout and credibility,” said Dr Samantha Bunting, the renowned dermatologist who is the ambassador for the brand. “The textures are fantastic, it has plausible and realistic claims and it’s a comprehensive and cohesive line. The amount of in-vitro and in-vivo tests, random assessments and blind trials that they’ve done are staggering. It’s what women really want – a look of wellbeing. This line provides great prep for the skin, giving it an even tone, plumpness and hydration – which makes applying make-up over the top a dream. Really, the make-up and the skincare are interwined.”
The new skincare line will launch on July 7 at Harrod’s in London and later it will be on sale in the rest of Europe.
I love the packaging! However I wish they would have added a floral twist to it, which is after all the iconic look of their runway sheaths 🙂
