About

Being a CITIZEN OF FASHION is all about freedom….freedom of being nobody but yourself, in a society which is doing its best to make you everybody else… freedom of expressing who you are …  Whether you prefer punk or a classic look, fashion accommodates the chameleon in all of us.

The CoF(citizens of fashion) it’s a way of celebrating the diversity and variety of the world in which we live. Fashion is about change which is necessary to keep life interesting. It’s also a mirror of sorts on society. It’s a way of measuring a mood that can be useful in many aspects, culturally, socially even psychologically. At the same time, fashion shouldn’t be taken too seriously or you lose the fun of it.

Let’s start to have fun!

Namasté,

Elena,a citizen of fashion.

  2. Wonderful blog! I found it while browsing on Yahoo News.
Do you have any suggestions on how to get listed in Yahoo News?

I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there!
    Appreciate it

  3. Very well said, and exactly how I live. Thank you. The subject matter coincides well with what I write about. Even though I’m a male, my characters are female and would love your blog (as I do), therefore, I thank you for the research material, and also appreciate the True beauty you represent here. I am a follower.

  4. Fantastic lens to look at the world through! (Oh NO!! That was such a tortured sentence! Ha. I’m going to trust you to sort it out.) Really. It’s one thing to say ‘you’re free to be etc. etc.’ – but we don’t always seem to mean it, do we? We do so much better with a little guidance, a few road signs and fashion’s such a great way to do it.

  5. Hi, Elena. Your blog is very interesting and refreshing eye. Looking at your blog, like saw fashion boutique that makes my mind relax. Very interesting and not boring. Can’t wait to read and see your post again. Blessed you 🙂

  6. Hi Elana! My understanding of fashion is limited to what you said in your remarks- freedom of being nobody but yourself, … freedom of expressing who you are. Beyond that it becomes glitter for me. I can still comprehend that photographs on this page are astoundingly beautiful. Are they all yours?
I also feel that travel is best way to understand cultures and fashion is integral to that. Will certainly enjoy your blog!

  7. Hi-de-ho neighbor,
Ya stopped by my crazy blog and hit like and followed me and so likewise I always come to see what yer all about…
And as often as not, I can’t figure out what you liked about the madness I am writing 🙂
    Not that I mind but…
If ya hit like ya may want to leave a little comment. That way the blogs author knows that you actually read what they wrote.
I mean comin here and seeing your very nice, well put together and professional blog. A blog with a very…feminine theme. Not there’s anything wrong with any of that jes…
What the heck a rooni did you possibly like about my conservative ranting madness? Please leave a comment so that I or other blog authors can know…
Otherwise it may seem like yer jes hittin like and fishing for followers.
Not sayin you are, jes that it’s odd.
Don’t gemme wrong I like all the followers I can get. And would like followers who disagree with me as much as those who agree, but I like to think that they actually read my posts before they hit like.
And I say such controversial things I mean…
I’m happy if ya actually “like” me. Jes given what I see here I can’t figure out how that is…
Anyway God bless, I’d love to have ya stop by again and say hello if’n ya feel so inspired..

you write. The sector hppes for more passionate writers such as you who
are not afraid to say how they believe. Always follow
    your heart.

Love Fashion. Whats not to love about it. Style, personality, statement, flare, beauty, etc…
Fashion is art just like any other form of art, hopefully it inspires us. I write with the aim to captivate and inspire just like fashion models and designers do. Very nice site. Thanks for taking an interest in my blog and my work. I’m a fan.

  10. Thanks for following my blog. I’m certainly not a person who “fits” in terms of your wonderful fashion statements, but I do love your inclusiveness. And your photos are awesome!

  11. “freedom of being nobody but yourself, in a society which is doing its best to make you everybody else” a powerful and inspiring statement. One more us need to step back and reflect on.

  12. Love the images but I could do with you living next door as I’m a fashion disaster, 54 and don’t know what I should be wearing . I’ll keep following you and maybe I’ll learn a little. Thanks for looking in on my site.

  13. What a fantastic blog site! I have posted something of yours on every social site I have. I especially like The Get Rid Of Terry blog! I am with you on that! Keep up the good work & God Bless you! 🙂

  14. Hi, Thank you for stopping by and following my blog. You blog is a visual joy, I love the stunning fashion, colour and great photography, something your blog has in bucket loads!

  15. Hi Elena – thanks for stopping by itsybitsyellen and following! And therefore, thank you for introducing me to your blog! I’m sure it will become a regular stop for me on the blogosphere! 🙂

Thanks for visiting and following my blog. Two opposites I would say. You, fashion, me, literary and street images. Still, like you said, it would be a boring world if we were all the same. Love the look of your site by the way.

Thank you, for reading my blog. I love fashion and I love being unique within my style (I wear what i like and what looks good on me) I will be checking out your blog periodically. great info.

  18. thewrittentblog

Thanks very much for following my blog. Quite a surprise given I’ve only posted the introduction so far! Liking the look of yours as I do love a bit of fashion!

  19. Thank you for the follow 🙂 I love that you are specifically against pro-anorexia and bulimia sites. As someone who’s been down that road, it makes so sad and angry that they exists. Will be keeping an eye on you 😉

From having a brief look I feel that your cause is a truly admirable one and something that really does need more attention as young people are very often exposed to pro-anorexia and bulimia content via social media on a regular basis. Keep up the good work and again, thank you for following!

  21. This is a lovely space, very nicely done. I love fashion, though I know very little about it. I admire your statement against the pro-ana sites. It’s so sad that these girls have so much to overcome.

  22. Thanks for the follow! I’ve been looking at many of your postings, and I’m debating whether to follow you. I love what I see, but it will be my downfall…I’m one of those people who shop more and spend more when I see more!
