The book is about the work of George Harrell, George Hurrell’s Hollywood: Glamour Portraits 1925-1992 will be released on November 12th , and to wrote the preface is Sharon Stone.
In the late 1920s, amateur photographer George Hurrell took a few portraits of Hollywood star Ramon Navarro. The actor was pleased with the result and showed the pictures to actress Norma Shearer , who , in turn , has agreed to work with Harrell .
The experience was a success , and soon he became the chief photographer of the Portrait Photography Department of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, where then worked the influential Hollywood producer Irving Thalberg and husband of Norma Shearer .
Further ,the career Harrell evolved very successfully. During his life, he has worked in the most well-known entertainment companies , including Warner Brothers Studios and Columbia Pictures, and the greatest star from Mae West, Greta Garbo,Jean Harlow, Veronica Lake, Clark Gable, Marlene Dietrich, Humphrey Bogart, Gary Cooper, Fred Astaire, Rita Hayworth, Liza Minnelli, John Travolta, Farrah Fawcett, Diana Ross, Raquel Welch, Sharon Stone, Warren Beatty, and many more.
It is noteworthy that the preface to the new book about the work of photographer George Hurrell’s Hollywood: Glamour Portraits 1925-1992, which will be released in mid-November , is wrote by Sharon Stone, with her Harrell worked shortly before his death in 1992.
