For its latest collection the Spanish eyewear brand, Etnia Barcelona invited photojournalist Steve McCurry to shot the ad campaign.McCurry is best known for his photograph “Afghan Girl” which originally appeared in National Geographic magazine. With the photoreporter the brand has shot ‘Wild Love in Africa’, a capsule collection entirely dedicated to Africa. The 2% of sales will go to the NGO Africa Rising Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports the development of the African continent.
Three models: Africa 01, round lens with a “cat eye” touch ; 02 Africa, inspired by the African mask patterns; 03 Africa, inspired by the classic models of the 50’s. All declined in different shades, from the most classic to the most vibrant colors, with animalier details or “wood effect”.
For the project, Steve McCurry has also created the three shots that express the concept of the entire collection.
