Last night, the Italian Trade Commission ( ITC) held the grand opening of the exhibition 8 Short Videos X 8 Long Stories. A great opening for an exhibition that depicts the soul of Italian creativity told through the eyes and art directing of young talents who have been called upon to interpret the soul and history of eight large Italian fashion houses .
Also on display, some of Italy’s fashion biggest names, from Prada and Giorgio Armani to Missoni and Versace. “We chose the brands, they chose the clothes,” Sozzani said at yesterday’s exhibit-turned-party, wearing a bold print dress by emerging Italian talent Stella Jean.
At the event, along with the chief of Vogue Italy Franca Sozzani and Riccardo Maria Monti della ITC was attended, among the many guests, Pier Paolo Celeste (Director of Business Services Department of the National Institute for Foreign Trade), the CEO of Condé Nast Jonathan Newhouse, the Italian Consul General in New York Natalia Quintavalle, Fe Fendi, Stefano Tonchi, Suzy Menkes, Giovanna Battaglia, Italo Zucchelli, Hamish Bowles and Johan Lindeberg.“Everybody is Italian tonight!” exclaimed Calvin Klein’s Italo Zucchelli.
